Kervin & Katherine’s Wedding Offline Video Snippets

Kervin & Katherine finally tied their wedding knots on the 27th October 2007.

It was indeed a joyous occassion, and while they had professional photographers and videographer to capture their precious moments on this special occasion, yeez and I had our own share of video & photo-capturing some wedding activities such as the night before the big day, cutting of the suckling pig, post wedding bash, wedding game, etc.

Here’s the 15 mins compilation of the snippets. Continue reading

new ipaq?

in a report by the::unwired, there’s a news snippet which sneak-peaks on the new iPAQ 600 and 900. There’s even an artists impression of iPAQ 600 rendered probably from the iPAQ 500. How’s that rendered picture compared to this?

possible ipaq-600?

Plus, this might well be the new ID of the iPAQ 900.

ipaq-900 ?

 Watch out this space.

Data backup afterthoughts

drive_image.jpgSpent two weekends to finally sort out my personal and work data. I had data backup regularly for more than 2 years already, but had always been doing it half heartedly. Instead of looking at the exact data I need to backup and archive, I usually take the easy way out by backing up the entire folder without having second look at the documents that reside in the folder.

Plus, I have used Fotki as a secondary digital media backup since subscribing to Fotki in 2003 and they offer unlimited digital image storage. Overtimes, again due to lack of discipline process, I always ended up uploading photos into Fotki without making a primary backup onto my home NAS. Lately, we have been taking alot of video as well, and because Fotki is essentially a photo gallery (unlike flickr or photobucket), most of these video media files reside in my own laptop. Result? Massive work required to synchronise the sources, a diaster waiting to happen should my laptop crashes (or touch wood, get stolen again) Continue reading

Upgraded Blog … Zen-style Design

zenyee new bloghand was too itchy and end up upgrading the blog (when I could live with the older version) and changing the look and feel. I had always wanted to keep the site as plain as possible, but the thought of adding abit of personalisation is an temptation that I couldn’t resist.

Had wanted to pick up my pen to draw, but end up doing some photography. The result, is what you see now. Not entirely happy though, but at least this time round I did my own photography (of my daily staples) for part of the site design.

Believe me or not, I am looking for new hosting site again, although it’s not a top priority right now since my email provider runbox currently offers me free hosting service. I have been using runbox since 2002. Back then, free email services such as Yahoo.com or hotmail were already prevalent. But I needed a long term option, which means big storage space (not those 10MB free mail space type!), reliable, etc. Runbox offer back then was very attractive, 100MB of email space at a token (less than $20 USD a year). Blog undergoing some revamp

Decided to upgrade the blog to the latest version (wordpress 2.2.1) , and at the same time, refresh the look and feel with something more personalised. The blog appearance is still work-in-progress as we speak, although it’s adopted from an existing theme from WP-design.

If you find the site alittle messy (especially the photo gallery site which is co-hosted by fotki.com), please bare with me for awhile, as I try to put on my creativity hat to work on the site design.

Akan Datang … I hope the end result will be a good one.

Alfred 1st birthday bash

1st July 2007. That’s 365 days since Chuan’s little Alfred first arrived into this world.

Alfred

Such a cute, adorable little boy, how can the grand uncles/aunties and uncles/aunties not want to celebrate his first birthday bash?

Took some photos and video of the event, and here’s a compilation of the video taken. Enjoy!

‘Raw Gang’ warming up Chia Fong’s new home

That’s what you call a housewarming, right?

Raw gang, is none other than people in this caricature drawing, plus myself.

It was a housewarming gathering for Chia Fong and Moi Shang’s new home @ Savanah, and we had a great time catching up. We also went to the estate’s bowling alley (so it’s the real one!, not the Wii type as I had originally thought it was). The bowling session ended up as a ‘mini-kiddo championship’ as the 2 kids (Gregory and Yoyo) were so captivated by the game that they practically take possession of the entire bowling lane by themselves.

Hope we have indeed warmed up our raw gang member’s new home. It was a fantastic Saturday evening filled with joys and laughters. Surely this must be the one of those ‘ROTFL’ moments;

June Holiday with Darren

msn.jpg

We have not been to the Night Safari for ages. Wow! so much has changed. The only thing that did not change is that when you walk around, you either see an empty cage or the hind of the animal … haha….but as we took the tram, we get to see many types of animals awake and moving around. The ones we see are mostly nocturnal animals. The animal show is really good. Darren really enjoyed himself totally, until he got a fright at the animal show when the zoo keeper bang close the drain board to create some hype about a hidden python amongst the crowd.

Well overall, we had good fun. Good to spend some time with family.
